The Blue Line is divided into two parts: The Blue Main Line (Line 3) and the Blue Branch Line (Line 4). The Delhi Metro Blue Branch Line, also known as Line 4, is a metro rail line of the Delhi Metro, a rapid transit system in Delhi, India.

It became operational on January 08, 2010, and is operated by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The Delhi Metro Blue Line (Line 4) is a Shorter Line consisting of 08 active stations with a total Length of 8.5 Kilometers, which Connects Yamuna Bank on the Blue Main Line to Vaishali.

The first section of Delhi Metro Blue Line (Line 4) consisted of 8 stations with a length of 8.5 kilometres, Became operational on January 08, 2010. Over time, the line has been extended and new stations have been added. The Blue Branch Line (Line 4) of the Delhi Metro currently consists of 11 stations in 2023, of which 8 stations are active while the remaining 3 are inactive.

Conclusion: The Delhi Metro Blue Branch Line (Line 4) is a shorter line that improves the connectivity of the Blue Main Line to some significant points of the city. The first section, connecting Yamuna Bank Station to Anand Vihar Station in East Delhi, became operational on January 8, 2010.

The line was extended from Anand Vihar Station to Vaishali Station and became operational on July 14, 2011. Phase 4 of the Blue Line (Line 4) is expected to improve connectivity to more city areas, with these stations becoming operational in 2025.
