The Green Line is divided into the Green Main Line (Line 5), and the Green Branch Line (Line 5). The Delhi Metro Green Branch Line is a metro rail line of the Delhi Metro, a rapid transit system in Delhi, India. It became operational on August 27, 2011, and is operated by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC)
The Delhi Metro Green Branch Line (Line 5) consists of 3 active stations, with a total Length of 3.4 Kilometres, which runs from Kirti Nagar in New Delhi to Ashok Park Main in West Delhi. Delhi Metro Green Line is wholly elevated, and the only line with four-coach trains, while all other stripes have six or eight-coach trains.
Unlike the Red, Yellow, and Blue Lines, which operate on a 5 ft 6 in (1676 mm) broad gauge, the Green Line of the Delhi Metro Network was the first line to be built on standard gauge, making it a trailblazer in the metro network.

The current Green branch Line (Line 5) of Delhi Metro has only one Phase, which is, Phase 2 (Kirti Nagar – Ashok Park Main).
