Delhi Metro Green Main Line

The Delhi Metro Green Line (Line 5) is divided into two parts: The Green Main Line (Line 5) and the Green Branch Line (Line 5). The Delhi Metro Green Main Line, also known as Line 5, is a metro rail line of Delhi Metro, a rapid transit system in Delhi, India. It became operational on April 3, 2010, and is operated by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). 

Delhi Metro Green Line (Line 5) consists of 21 active stations with a total Length of 25.4 Kilometres, which runs from Inderlok in North West Delhi to Brigadier Hoshiyar Singh in Haryana District. Delhi Metro Green line is completely elevated, and is the only line that has four-coach trains, while all other lines have six or eight-coach trains.

Unlike the Red, Yellow, and Blue Lines, which operate on a 5 ft 6 in (1676 mm) broad gauge, the Green Line of the Delhi Metro Network is the first line to be built on standard gauge, making it a trailblazer in the metro network.

Delhi Metro Green Main Line (Line 5) Stations

The first section of the Delhi Metro Green Line (Line 5) comprised 14 stations with a length of 14.2 kilometres and became operational on April 3, 2010. Since then, the line has been extended and new stations have been added. As of 2023, the Green Main Line (Line 5) of Delhi Metro has a total of 44 stations, with 21 currently active and 23 inactive.

Conclusion: Delhi Metro Green Line (Line 5) is one of the busiest Lines in the Delhi Metro Network, connecting Inderlok in North West Delhi to Brigadier Hoshiyar Singh in Haryana. Line 5 became operational in 2010 and has successfully completed 13 years of serving Its Commuters until 2023.
