Delhi Metro Violet Line

The Violet Line (also known as Line 6) is a metro rail line of the Delhi Metro, a rapid transit system in Delhi, India. It became operational on 3 October 2010 and is operated by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

The Delhi Metro Violet Line consists of 34 active stations with a total distance of 46.3 kilometres, Connecting Kashmere Gate Station in New Delhi to Raja Nahar Singh in Ballabhgarh via Faridabad.

The Violet Line of the Delhi Metro provides an alternative route for those frequently travelling on the crowded Yellow Line. It connects the residential areas of South Delhi and some parts of Central Delhi to the suburban town of Faridabad. A special section of the Violet Line, which runs between ITO and Kassmere Gate stations, is known as the Heritage Line.

The first section of the Delhi Metro Violet Line (Line 6) consisted of 13 stations with a length of 15.3 kilometres and Became operational on October 03, 2010. Over time, the line has been extended and new stations have been added. The Violet Line of the Delhi Metro currently consists of 34 stations as of 2023, which are all active.
